Glenside Hotel | See More

Owners: Karen & Aogan Dunne

Karen & Aogán Dunne – Hotel owners since April 2017. Coming up on 8 years already! We met working in the hospitality industry over 20 years ago. We got married in Jan 2009 and have 4 sons aged 8, 10, 13 and 15. The youngest was only 9 months when we took over The Glenside. Prior to The Glenside we managed & owned our own restaurant, theSpire in Duleek.

Our dream was always to run our own hotel. Karen, originally from Duleek had celebrated many family occasions in The Glenside over the years including her own confirmation and parents 25th Wedding Anniversary.

Aogán started managing hotels after completing a Degree in Hospitality and was at one stage the youngest General Manager in the country! Karen after finishing her Masters in International Tourism Marketing and travelling around the world took a role alongside Aogán in a hotel in Monaghan.

The past 8 years have been eventful to say the least! Our main objective when taking over The Glenside was to develop it into a Boutique Style Wedding Venue. Following almost 8 years of extreme hard work and refurbishment of all areas we can say we have achieved our goal. The Glenside is now a major player in the wedding market in East Meath, Drogheda and North County Dublin.

One of our strongest attributes is the amazing team behind us, many of who have been with us since the beginning. We are blessed to work with a dedicated, friendly and talented bunch of people who are the true essence of The Glenside. You only need to read our reviews to see how highly regarded they are! So thank you all.

It’s exciting times ahead for Karen, Aogán and all the team as we look forward to a busy year of weddings & celebrations. The diary is open for weddings for 2026 and 2027 and is filling up nicely!
