Olivia Rodrigo’s Boyfriend Louis Partridge Shares Rare Insight Into Their Relationship
Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge’s love is anything but embarrassing.
Nearly three months after he and the “Traitor” singer made headlines with their joint outing at Wimbledon 2025, the House of Guinness star shared insight into why they prefer to keep their romance out of the spotlight.
“I was not aware that was going to be a thing,” Louis told Esquire U.K. of their highly publicized London outing. “I did see a lot of photos from that, it felt quite public.”
“Olivia and I choose, or have been choosing, to not be so public,” he continued. “There’s a sanctity to being private.”
The Enola Holmes actor did express, however, that their shared experiences as child stars definitely make navigating the extra attention a bit easier.
“I just have no doubt that we’re both in a relationship for the right reason,” he gushed. “I’m sure that’s something you have to think about when you reach a certain level of success. It’s nice to know that we can go to things together, and it’s not the maddest thing in the world that you’re sitting opposite who knows what. You’ve got a friend in those times.”
Indeed, Louis was not shy about supporting his girlfriend when she headlined Glastonbury Festival in London earlier this year.
“It was a really special moment,” he told the outlet of her performance. “She worked so incredibly hard for it. And it all came together. It was pretty damn special to be there and see her get her flowers, as it were.”
And at the time, Louis even gave the Grammy winner a special shoutout once she left the stage.
“I hope you caught Olivia’s show last night,” he wrote on Instagram at the time alongside a pic of Olivia in her dressing room and standing onstage in front of a crowd. “A truly special performance on such a huge scale.”

“She worked her ass off for it and couldn’t be more deserving of all her success and for the great crowd that was watching,” he added. “What a moment #glastonberry.”
For her part, the “Vampire” singer commemorated the moment by revealing that Louis was the inspiration for her song “So American” while describing all her favorite things about England onstage.
"I wrote this next song when I was falling in love with this boy from London," she told the crowd. "Ss we were getting to know each other, we were discovering all of these cross-cultural differences."
"He would make fun of me for pronouncing things very American—like Glaston-berry,” she continued. “So, I took all of our little inside jokes and I made a song on that.”
